Mandatory units

There are five mandatory units of which three are assessed through a Pearson set assignment. Learners must complete and achieve a Pass or above in all mandatory units.

  • Delivery of Engineering Processes Safely as a Team
  • Product Design and Manufacture in Engineering
  • Computer System Principles and Practice
  • Electrical and Electronic Principles

Optional units

Learners must complete at least 360 GLH of optional units. Please see minimum/maximum specific Optional Group requirements in the Specification below.

If learners select Unit 6 as an optional unit, this will be assessed through a Pearson set assignment.
